Where Care Meets Cure
- While the COVID-19 pandemic was a setback for many businesses, it came as a boon for many, particularly those in the field of medicine and allied sectors.
- Gran Asia Life Sciences is one such company that had a good start and is consistently working towards excellence. It was started in 2019 by Rajesh Gangaram Lonkar (BSc.) Director, Dr. Pradeep Taware (MD) Director and other doctors. Soon after its inception, the COVID-19 pandemic took the world by storm. This pharmaceutical and nutritional supplement company specializes in a variety of healthcare products, including tablets, softgels, and syrups, among other products.
- “During the pandemic period of one-and-half years, the company sold products worth Rs. 3 crores. We had a good start,” shares Mr. Lonkar.
- The company manufactures and sells a wide range of pharmaceutical products across Maharashtra, particularly related to diabetes, gynaecology and orthopaedics.
The USP
- The company specializes in some unique orthopaedic products, like Todotendo tablets. “The composition of this tablet is not found anywhere. Another such product is XcoRich,” says Mr. Lonkar. “Our medicines for diabetes also have good sales,” he adds, saying that many of their products have compositions which no other product from other pharmaceutical companies have.
- They manufacture and market a wide variety of health items, such as the Bestocox tablet, Edociz tablet, Min-Co-Rich (tablet and syrup), Bossrose DC tablets and Plugmax Soft Gel capsules. Their broader offerings include bone/joint supplements, sports nutrition, and women’s health vitamins.
A Focus beyond Borders
- The company that sells products across Maharashtra envisions to set their footprint in the entire Asian continent.
- “Gran Asia - the name itself means “Grand” or “Huge”. Our vision is expand Gran Asia in all the Asian countries,” reveals Mr. Lonkar, adding that the company has come a long way since its inception with just nine employees to 100+ at present and with a focus on expanding further.
