The Pride Hotels

A Home Away From Home

In the late 1980s, when India’s hospitality landscape was still finding its feet, one man dared to imagine something different. Mr. S. P. Jain, a Chartered Accountant by profession and a hotelier by passion, founded Pride Hotels with a simple but powerful belief: a hotel should feel like home. At a time when branded chains were rare and travellers relied on lodges or personal networks, Pride was born to offer warmth, consistency, and the timeless grace of Indian hospitality. Today, that vision is carried forward by his son, Mr. Satyen Jain, CEO, a Chartered Accountant with an MBA in Family Business from NMIMS—melding legacy with modern leadership.

Building India’s Fastest-Growing Hospitality Chain

From a single property in Pune, Pride Hotels has grown into one of India’s fastest-growing hospitality groups. Recognized by the Howarth Industry Report as the sixth-largest chain in its segment by chain-owned inventory, the brand now operates across 32 cities under four distinct identities—Pride Plaza, Pride Premier, Pride Elite, and Biznotel by Pride. With a strategic mix of owned assets, long-term leases, and third-party management, Pride has created a scalable, capital-light model that fuels rapid expansion without losing its soul.

Truly Indian

What sets Pride apart isn’t just scale—it’s sensibility. Every stay is designed to feel unmistakably Indian. Guests are welcomed with a heartfelt Namaskar. Subtle regional fragrances linger in the air. Indian art and design bring local culture to life. Menus celebrate regional flavours, while soft Indian music sets a warm, familiar tone. This sensory philosophy—“India in every stay”—creates emotional connections, not just transactions.

Beyond the Metros

While others chased only metros, Pride ventured early into rising secondary cities—places like Rajkot, Dwarka, Digha, Deoghar, and Puri—capturing the pulse of domestic travel and spiritual tourism. This early-mover instinct built strong roots in business hubs, leisure destinations, and pilgrimage centres, creating a diversified, resilient portfolio.

The Road Ahead

Pride’s future is ambitious yet grounded: deepen presence in key markets, enter high-growth cities, revive underperforming assets, elevate food and beverage experiences, and sharpen operations with technology and data. Global expansion may come—but only when it aligns with Pride’s purpose.

Through every chapter, one promise remains unchanged: a stay that feels like India—warm, welcoming, and unforgettable.
