Why read India-LAC Bridging Continents for Mutual Economic Growth?
The GIBF’s first edition of the India-Latin America and Caribbean Countries Business Conclave in Pune, in 2024, garnered excellent response. In this backdrop, the second edition was hosted in India’s Silicon Valley – Hyderabad, to expand our reach and provide a platform to the business leaders here to establish themselves in the fast-developing LAC countries. Graced by the Hon. Governor of Telangana, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma; Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce and Legislative Affairs in the state of Telangana, Shri D. Sridhar Babu, and Ms. Snehaja, IFS, Regional Passport Officer and Head of MEA Branch, Telangana, as chief guests and diplomats from 16 LAC countries, this conclave highlights the growing importance of collaboration and partnership between India and the dynamic economies of Latin America and the Caribbean. The relationship between India and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean holds tremendous potential. We recognize the rich diversity and energy of these regions and are eager to explore opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in sectors such as trade, investment, technology transfer, and knowledge sharing. There are countless possibilities for us to explore and leverage. This conclave provided over 200 businesspeople with access to a wealth of opportunities, thanks to the insights shared by ambassadors, high commissioners and other diplomats from 16 LAC countries.
